As Pilates instructors we know that many of our clients seek Pilates to help manage and alleviate pain. Pilates allows us to re-wire and re-connect with our bodies. It is the perfect exercise system to address habitual movement patterns and create positive movement experiences.
Over recent years, the way we view pain has changed as we seek to understand the complexities and multifactorial experiences of each client. The biopsychosocial model of health/disease is recognised, at present, as one of the best scientific model to consider.
