Day 1- A Journey through the Whole System

This workshop offers the unique opportunity to experience the different challenges offered by the various pieces of Pilates apparatus.

Explore why you would introduce the Swan Dive on Ladder Barrel first, Teaser on the Tower, 100 on the Reformer.

Understand the difference between Frogs on the Tower, on the Reformer or on the Chair, Short Box on the Ladder Barrel or on the Reformer and so many more.

You will also be able to experience lesser known pieces such as the Pedi Pole, Baby Chair, Neck Stretcher, Toe Stretcher, Breath-A-Sizer and Foot Corrector.

The workshop will finish with an exploration of how to teach a Studio Circuit class, ensuring flow, fluidity and that every client feels the incredible benefits from the whole Pilates system.

Day 2- A Client Specific Approach

This workshop will focus more on specific individual needs and goals.

Using your top three client challenges (submitted prior to the training), we will explore how best to use each piece of apparatus to address specific considerations and help clients reach their movement potential.

We will delve deep into which exercises, which piece, what cues and any variations that  will really benefit, enhance and deliver lasting results.

We will focus on further developing your hands on teaching to create a deeper two way stretch, use pressure and tension to enhance centre connection, proprioception and bring awareness to different areas of the body.

  • You will experience how different pieces of equipment bring specific challenges and connections in the same exercises, allowing you to understand why you would choose a certain piece for a specific client or a specific need or goal.
