Workshop details

It’s the small things that make all the difference when mastering the Mat Repertoire!

This recorded series of workshops explores how to use the small equipment to improve technique, build strength and greatly advance your client’s Pilates practise. As always the devil is in the detail so you will really enhance your knowledge of the exercises as well as finding fresh inspiration.

The Series includes

The Magic Circle – One of the original inventions of Joe Pilates, the Magic Circle is an incredible addition to any class. In this workshop, we explore the traditional exercises as well as the variations and connections this exceptional piece can bring.

The Band – Possibly the most cheapest and most accessible piece of small equipment, the band can provide varying resistance and assistance in so many exercises.

The Balls – Using the Mini Ball, Weighted Balls and Stability Ball, this workshop explores so many variations to add to your repertoire.

The Foam Roller – It is always surprising how many variations and adaptations can be found using the Roller, not only does it provide the challenge of an unstable base, but it also gives support and proprioceptive feedback in many exercises

The Pilates Pole (or simply the broom handle!)-This is such an amazingly simple prop, bringing profound changes in movement as it helps to enhance natural alignment and centre connection taking your client’s practise and technique to a new level.

Studio in a Bag – In this workshop, we replicate classic movements from the Reformer, Cadillac and Barrels repertoire using small equipment, so you can bring the benefits of the Studio Equipment exercises to your clients without the large apparatus. No prior knowledge of the larger pieces is needed.
